Keith A. Carrigan
Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Carrigan has been Chief Executive Officer since June 2000, when the company acquired its assets from Allied Waste Industries, Inc. He was responsible for successfully acquiring, assimilating and improving the operations of BFI after the acquisition. Prior to joining IESI-BFC Ltd., Mr. Carrigan was involved in the development and/or management of various non-hazardous solid waste management and recycling businesses. Mr. Carrigan has been involved with the solid waste management industry for most of his career, which spans more than 29 years. Most notably, he was Vice President of Waste Management Inc. in the United States, and President of WMI Waste Management of Canada Inc.

Charles F. "Mickey" Flood
President

Mr. Flood is President and is one of the founders of IESI Corporation. He has been IESI Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer, President and a member of IESI Corporation’s board of directors since IESI Corporation’s inception. From 1989 to 1995, he was employed with Waste Management Inc., as Group President from 1993 to 1995 in the northeastern United States and Canada, Regional Vice President from 1991 to 1993 in the south central United States and as Vice President of Operations in Texas from 1989 to 1991. Mr. Flood was President of Laidlaw Waste Services’ U.S. solid waste operations from 1986 to 1987. Mr. Flood was President of the United States and Canada solid waste operations for GSX Corporation from 1984 to 1986. Mr. Flood was the Region Vice President of the Southern Region of SCA Services, Inc., from 1976 to 1984. Mr. Flood has over 39 years of experience in the non-hazardous solid waste management industry. He is currently a Director of the Detachable Container Association. Mr. Flood is also a director and past Chairman for the Environmental Industry Association, the parent of the National Solid Waste Management Association and Waste Equipment Technology Association.

Joseph D. Quarin, CA
Executive Vice President and Canadian Chief Operating Officer

Prior to his current position, Mr. Quarin was CFO of the company from February 2002 through September 2005, and Vice President, Finance from July 2000 through February 2002. Prior to July 2000, Mr. Quarin was an associate at NB Capital Partners (now Edgestone Capital Partners) from February 2000 to July 2000, and from June 1995 to January 2000 Mr. Quarin held various positions, including manager, senior manager and Vice President, with KPMG Corporate Finance Inc. Mr. Quarin has an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business (Dean’s Honour List), a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen’s University, and is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Quarin was recognized in 2004 as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.

Thomas J. Cowee
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Cowee has been with IESI Corporation since 1997 and was most recently Senior Vice President and CFO of IESI Corporation, a position he held since 2000. From 1995 to 1997, he was Assistant Corporate Controller of USA Waste Services, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Cowee held various positions with Waste Management Inc.. From 1994 to 1995, Mr. Cowee was Division Vice President and Controller of its Texas operations, and from 1993 to 1994 he was Vice President and Regional Controller of its Pennsylvania Hauling Region— East Group. Mr. Cowee has over 26 years experience in the non-hazardous solid waste management industry and holds a B.Sc. in accounting from Ohio State University.

Izzie Abrams
Vice President, Corporate Development and Government Relations

Mr. Abrams joined in 2003 and is responsible for the Company’s corporate development and government relations programs. Prior to IESI-BFC, Mr. Abrams was founder and President of Triwaste Services. Previously, he had founded and led Dual Removal Systems. Additionally, he was a Vice President responsible for Canadian operations at Canadian Waste Services and was President, CEO and Chief Restructuring Officer of Nevada Bob’s Golf. In his career spanning more than 30 years, Mr. Abrams has taken a leadership role in various charitable and non-profit community organizations and as well has played a strong role within the waste services industry through his involvement in many trade organizations.

 Edward L. Apuzzi
Vice President and Regional Manager, Northeast Region

Mr. Apuzzi has been with IESI Corporation since 1998 and has been in his current position since 2003. Prior to that, Mr. Apuzzi served as the Director of Development for IESI’s Northeast Region. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Apuzzi was President of Vibro, Inc., a waste hauling and recycling company, which was acquired by IESI. Prior to that, Mr. Apuzzi practiced law at the law firm of Smith, Stratton, Wise, Heher and Brennan, in Princeton, N.J., where he specialized in environmental litigation. He has an A.B. from Princeton University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.

 Thomas L. Brown
Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, U.S.

Mr. Brown has been IESI Corporation’s Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since January 2000. Prior to that, Mr. Brown was IESI Corporation’s Vice President, Operations, South Region since 1997. Prior joining IESI, Mr. Brown was employed with Waste Resources and Waste Management Inc. Mr. Brown held various positions from 1978 to 1997 including Division President, Region Operations V.P., and for the last several years as a Region Manager. Mr. Brown has over 29 years experience in the solid waste management industry and holds an A.S. in accounting from Missouri Southern College.

William Chyfetz
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Mr. Chyfetz has been with the company since its inception and has held various senior positions with its predecessor Browning-Ferris Industries Ltd. since 1994. He was named to his current position in 2000. Mr. Chyfetz obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from McGill University and an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a member of The Law Society of Upper Canada and is also a Chartered Accountant.

 Thomas J. Fowler
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, U.S.

Mr. Fowler has been IESI Corporation’s Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since January 2003. From 1994 to February 2003, Mr. Fowler was Vice President and General Counsel of Unity Hunt, Inc. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Fowler had his own law practice, and was Corporate Secretary and Legal Counsel for Laidlaw Waste Systems Inc. from 1987 to 1992. Mr. Fowler has a J.D. and B.Sc. in accounting from St. Mary’s University of San Antonio and a B.A. in biology from the University of Texas.

Howard M. Goldby, P.Eng.
Vice President, Environmental Management and Technology Group

Mr. Goldby has been with the company since 1993 and is responsible for the Company’s environmental management, engineering and regulatory compliance programs. A registered Professional Engineer, Mr. Goldby graduated as a Civil Engineer in 1972 from the University of Salford, England. He has held positions in the construction industry, consulting and the oil industry, and since 1987 with three major waste management companies: Waste Management Inc., BFI Waste Systems Ltd. and BFI Canada Inc.

John C. Gustafson, Jr.
Vice President and Regional Manager, Texas

Mr. Gustafson has been a Vice President of IESI since January 2005. Prior to that he was Area Manager of the North Texas and Oklahoma markets since 2003. He has been with IESI Corporation since 1997. From 1992 to 1997 he worked for Waste Management in Houston, Texas. Mr. Gustafson has B.S. in communications from the University of Texas at Austin.

William P.M. Herman
Vice President, Finance and Corporate Controller

Prior to his current position, Mr. Herman held various positions including Director, Financial Reporting and Canadian Corporate Controller and Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis for BFI Canada Inc. from June 2002 to September 2005. Prior to June 2002, Mr. Herman held various positions with Deloitte & Touche LLP from September 1995 to June 2002, including manager, audit and assurance. Mr. Herman is a Chartered Accountant and has an M.B.A. from the York University Schulich School of Business, and a Diploma in Accounting and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

 Stephen T. Moody
Vice President and Corporate Controller, U.S.

Mr. Moody has been IESI Corporation’s Vice President and Corporate Controller since 2000. Prior to that, beginning in 1997, he was IESI’s Corporate Controller. Prior to that, he worked for five years with Coopers & Lybrand in both litigation services and audit. Mr. Moody holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Texas A&M University.

Ronald Neese
Vice President, Information Systems

Mr. Neese has held senior management positions with several firms including: Divisional Vice President with Browning-Ferris Industries, Inc. responsible for all Information Technology; Director at Andersen Consulting in their Outsourcing Practice responsible for North American Data Centers; Senior Vice President for The Associates responsible for Credit Card Technology; and, Chief Technology Officer for S & H Greenpoints, and has served on the Board of Advisors for the Genuity Corporation and the Board of Directors for The Xinetix Software Company. Mr. Neese has a B.B.A.from Kent State University and a J.D. from the University of Akron and was admitted to practice of law in Ohio.

 Yves Normandin, Eng.
Vice President, Quebec Region

Mr. Normandin has been the District Manager for the Lachenaie landfill since 1991, and has served as the Vice-President for Quebec since 2002. Mr. Normandin graduated as a Chemical Engineer in 1980 from the Ecole Polytechnique at the University of Montreal. Throughout his career, Mr. Normandin has held positions in the chemical processing and waste treatment industries where he gained strong experience in the fields of wastewater treatment, contaminated site characterization and remediation services, and landfill leachate treatment.

Gordon D. Peckham
Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, U.S.

Mr. Peckham joined IESI in 1999 and has served in his current position since November 2006. Prior to that, he was Vice-President, Texas & Oklahoma Region, Vice-President, South Region, and Vice-President, Operations, Southeast Region. Earlier in his career, he spent 22 years in various managerial capacities with four different waste services companies, including six years as a Division President with Waste Management Inc.

Dan Pio  
Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Canada 

Dan Pio joined IESI-BFC Ltd. in 2010 as Vice President and Canadian Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he was employed as Senior Vice President with Waste Management, Inc. from 2001 to 2005. From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Pio held various positions with Waste Management and its predecessor companies including Chief Accounting Officer and Division Vice President. From 1990 to 1996, he held the position of Manager of Financial Operations for Laidlaw Waste Systems Ltd. Mr. Pio has over 20 years of experience in the solid waste management industry and holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada.

 Joseph Rajotte
Vice President, Western Canada

Mr. Rajotte has been a Vice President of the company since early 2002 and a District Manager of the Vancouver District since 2000. In 2009, he was appointed Vice President, Western Canada. An employee of IESI-BFC Ltd. and its predecessor Browning-Ferris Industries since 1980, Mr. Rajotte has worked in various positions including the Operations Manager in Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver.

 Scott Richards
Vice President, Internal Audit

Prior to joining the company in November, 2005, Mr. Richards served from May 1989 through October 2005 in various senior risk management capacities at MBNA America. Prior to that, Mr. Richards held various audit positions with Ernst & Whinney (presently Ernst & Young). Mr. Richards has a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Texas, an M.B.A. in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Andrea Rudnick
Vice President, Corporate Development and Communications

Ms. Rudnick joined IESI-BFC Ltd. in 2009 and oversees the company’s mergers and acquisitions activities and communications programs, including investor relations.  Ms. Rudnick has ten years of experience working as an investment banker in Toronto and New York, having begun her career at Goldman, Sachs & Co.  Most recently, she was Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations with DundeeWealth Inc., a Canadian owned, independent wealth management company.  Ms. Rudnick holds M.B.A. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Toronto, and was called to the Bar in New York State.

Phillip L. Smith
Vice President and Regional Manager, Louisiana, Arkansas and Missouri Regions

Mr. Smith has been with IESI since 1999 and was most recently Area Manager for the South Region a position held since 2001. From 1999 to 2001, he held the position of District Manager. Prior to that, he held various positions with Waste Management Inc. He was Division President of Oklahoma from 1992 to 1999, Division Manager of Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1986 to 1992. He has over 19 years experience in the non-hazardous solid waste industry. He has an A.S. in Business Management from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
