BFI Canada Income Fund Announces Dates for Annual and Special Meeting, First Quarter 2006 Results and Conference Call

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Apr 27, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

BFI Canada Income Fund (the "Fund") (TSX:BFC.UN) will hold its annual and special meeting of unitholders on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time).

The Fund also announced today that it will issue its first quarter fiscal 2006 results by press release on Thursday, May 11, 2006, prior to the meeting. The Fund will hold a conference call to discuss first quarter results on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. (ET).

The details of the annual and special meeting of unitholders are as follows:

The first quarter results conference call with analysts and investors will begin at 8:30 a.m. (ET) on Friday, May 12, 2006, during which Keith Carrigan, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Tom Cowee, Chief Financial Officer, will discuss the Fund's financial results for the first quarter.
