Toronto, Ontario – August 20, 2003 – BFI Canada Income Fund (TSX: BFC.UN) is pleased to announce today a cash distribution of $0.10625 per Trust unit for the month of August 2003. The distribution will be payable on September 15, 2003 to holders of record on August 31, 2003.
BFI Canada Income Fund, through its subsidiaries, is one of Canada’s largest full-service waste management companies providing non-hazardous solid waste collection and landfill disposal services for municipal, commercial, industrial and residential customers in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. Through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, BFI Canada owns and operates three landfills, operates one municipally-owned landfill, carries on collection operations in 18 markets, and operates two transfer collection stations, seven material recovery collection facilities and one landfill gas to energy facility. BFI Canada's business does not include any management, collection or disposal of hazardous or liquid waste. The Fund's units are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol BFC.UN.
